Adoption of the Budget

On or before February 11 of each year, the Board shall adopt a budget request for the next fiscal year.

Before adopting the budget request, the Board shall study the school budget in relation to present and future needs of the students, the parents, and the community. To make the budget a comprehensive reflection of the financial needs of the school program, steps shall have been taken to involve the professional, non-certified, and administrative staff in its development. The Board of Education shall adopt a final budget not later than the first regularly scheduled Board meeting in June of each year.
